REPORTS TO:  Field Accounting Manager

Purpose for the Position:  To investigate and report internal control deficiencies at multiple hotels and restaurants, in an effort to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.

Essential Responsibilities:

  1. Assesses each property's compliance with policies and procedures.
  2. Examine and evaluate the adequacy and effectiveness of information systems and internal controls.
  3. Prepares report on audit findings, highlighting any deficiencies in controls. Distributes report to the General Manager and Corporate Office.
  4. Requires and reviews audit action plans from General Managers.
  5. Advises Corporate Office of consistent field issues so that they may be addressed.
  6. Any other duties as required by Field Accounting Manager, including travel.

To do this kind of work, you must meet the following qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years hotel experience required. Front office or accounting experience preferred.
  • Excellent and demonstrated attention to detail.
  • Above average understanding and use computers and related equipment and all related software.
  • Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills with the ability to comfortably communicate to all levels of management.

Physical Demands:  Lifting 10 lbs. maximum and occasionally lifting and/or carrying such articles as dockets, ledgers, and small tools.  Walking and standing are required only occasionally.  Reaching, handling, feeling, talking, hearing, and seeing.

Environmental Conditions:  Inside:  Protection from weather conditions but not necessarily from temperature changes.  A job is considered "inside" if the worker spends approximately 75% or more of the time inside.
