Purpose for the Position: The Pool Attendant is responsible for maintaining and cleaning the pool and deck area along with keeping daily records of chemical levels of the pool and adjusting chemicals as needed. This person must verify that each person entering pool area is a guest of the Hotel and that the pool and safety rules are respected.
The Pool Attendant Essential Responsibilities:
- Provide courteous and efficient service to guests at all times.
- Perform pool chemical tests and maintain complete and accurate records.
- Adjust pool chemicals as needed.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for guests.
- Remove trash and dispose in designated areas.
- Maintain pool furniture clean and in good condition.
- Assist maintenance department with pool opening and closing procedures.
- Ensure resort pool rules and safety rules are abided by.
- Monitor pool traffic and ensure access is reserved for Hotel guests.
- Provide assistance to any guests as needed.
- Perform any additional tasks assigned by Supervisor of Manager on Duty.
To do this kind of work, you must be able to:
- Must be able to swim.
- Must have knowledge of pool equipment and be able to read and determine pool chemical levels using a test kit.
- Must be available for work days, weekends, and holidays.
Environmental conditions: Outside. A job is considered "outside" if 75% or more of activities occur outside.
Language Skills: Must have developed language skills to the point to be able to: Read instructions, rules, etc.

Data: Comparing: Judging the readily observable functional, structural or compositional characteristics (whether similar to or divergent from obvious standards) of data, people or things.
