Purpose for the Position:  The Digital & E-Commerce Manager will assist the Corporate Director - Digital Marketing & E-Commerce with the management of Real Hospitality Group's growing digital footprint.

Essential Responsibilities:

  1. Act as the Corporate Administrator of Portfolio Digital Profiles by auditing online hotel profiles and ensuring the content is up to date and appropriate. Ensure system access levels are up to date, removing old users, as necessary.
  2. Maintain corporate relationships with major Online Travel Agencies (OTA's) - i.e. Expedia, Booking.com, Priceline/Agoda, Hotel Tonight) and social review channels (TripAdvisor, Yelp, Revinate, etc.
  3. Understand the paid promotional opportunities within each channel (such as enhanced profiles or sponsored placements) and execute strategy, as necessary.
  4. Act as the Corporate Administrator of Preferred CRS Vendors (iHotelier and Windsurfer) for Independent Hotels.
  5. Act as the booking engine administrator by adding/removing user access, as necessary.
  6. Master the analytics tools of each CRS system to provide recommendations and strategy.
  7. Create marketing copy for rate offerings and supplemental lifestyle photography - supply appropriately cropped and sized imagery of the room types and hotel to meet the standard requirements of each booking engine.
  8. Audit and ensure GDS information and distribution for each system has a full selection of high-resolution images for all independent hotels.
  9. Oversee paid media efforts (i.e. pay-per-click, display, social advertising) for the independent hotel portfolio with our preferred vendor.
  10. Conduct monthly oversite calls with our Account Manager to review results and plan for future campaigns and activations.
  11. Hold our paid partners accountable to positive results that add to our GOP and RevPar strategy.
  12. Work with hotel General Managers, Revenue Managers, and Sales Leaders to identify opportunities and to lead the creative strategy around promotions.
  13. Maintain RHG's relationship with our preferred website developer for our corporate site and independent hotel sites.
  14. Build new websites with our project manager and offer insight with regards to tone of voice, imagery, and styling that complements ownership branding and strategy.
  15. Add SEO recommendations for new sites based on market knowledge and data.
  16. Conduct quarterly SEO strategy reviews and implement new strategies as necessary.
  17. For hotels utilizing the monthly email service of this vendor, work with the hotel to determine the promotion and then proof the developers email prior to launch.
  18. Advise hotels on best practices and strategies for social media.
  19. Act as the corporate liaison for hotels signed on with RHG's preferred social media agency.
  20. Review monthly engagement data and offer advice on improved performance.
  21. Promote independent hotel conversion strategies that drive direct web business, cultivating new campaigns with property and revenue teams. Load information onto the content manager and ensure proper tracking.
  22. Create independent hotel goals for overall satisfaction, review response, and popularity index - share results with hotels and work with Regional Directors of Sales & Marketing to hold hotels accountable for achieving and exceeding their results.
  23. Understand the digital platforms for hotel brands such as Marriott, Hilton, IHG, Red Lion, Hyatt, and Red Roof - offer insight on the tools, budget recommendations, and strategy.
  24. Be a resource to all hotels for their basic e-commerce and distribution questions and assist with keeping them up to date on trends and changes in the market.
  25. Participate in select hotel revenue calls to offer insight, strategy, and support for their initiatives.
  26. Meet with Regional Directors of Sales & Marketing to discuss market strategy, options for group marketing, and local trends, etc.
  27. Complete parity checks, ensuring that current rate strategy pulls correctly on OTA's as well as META searches.
  28. Ensure corporate team is up-to-date on recent industry trends, major changes in tools, and shifts in market behavior.
