SUPERVISES DIRECTLY:  Gallery Hosts, Night Auditors, and Bellman 

Purpose for the Position:  Act as Manager on Duty in the absence of management.  This position is the lead contact for guest service concerns.  This individual is responsible for training of all Gallery Hosts.  This position will oversee the following Food & Beverage items:  F&B inventory, and management of first in, first out process.

Essential Responsibilities:

  1. First contact for guest concerns - service recovery.
  2. Training of all new Gallery Hosts.
  3. Conduct huddles to ensure clear communication of the day's events to all Gallery Hosts.
  4. Food and Beverage inventory and ordering.
  5. Management of FIFO process with Food & Beverage.
  6. Conduct property tours for new hires and clients as necessary to assist the Sales Department.
  7. Oversee group reservations to ensure that they are pre-assigned and pre-keyed.
  8. Walk through of public areas and kitchen with follow-up report/checklist to management.
  9. Act as Manager on Duty in the absence of management.
  10. Inventory control of Gallery Host Stand supplies and kitchen supplies. Ordering as needed while maintaining budget guidelines.
  11. City Ledger, Deposit Ledger, and Deposit Ledger follow-up notices.
  12. Third party reconciliation (verify commission statements and payments).

Environmental Conditions:  Inside: Protection from weather conditions but not necessarily from temperature changes.  A job is considered "inside" if the worker spends approximately 75% or more of the time inside.

Math Skills:  Requires mathematical development sufficient to be able to: Compute discount, interest, profit and loss, commission, markups and selling price, ratio and proportion, and percentages.  Calculate surface, volumes, weights and measures.

Language Skills:  Must have developed language skills to the point to be able to: Read newspapers, periodicals, journals, and manuals. Write business letters, summaries and reports using prescribed format and conforming to all rules of punctuation, grammar, diction and style.
