Purpose for the Position:  Provide Marketing support for independent, full-service hotel and oversee on-site guest activities.

Essential Responsibilities:

  1. Work with the Director of Sales & Marketing to plan marketing promotions for the calendar year with an overall objective of driving direct bookings, optimizing booking pace, and building need occupancy periods.
  2. Maintain digital marketing platforms and audit for content accuracy.
  3. Maintain a robust and creative social media communication and marketing campaign coordinated across all relevant social media channels. This includes taking photos/videos of guest activities and encouraging guests to utilize on-site selfie stations.
  4. Promote and oversee on-site guest activities ensuring a high level of guest participation and social media engagement. This would include advance set-up of any necessary props or materials, instructing additional team members or contractors associated with an event as needed, cleanup of activity area immediately upon conclusion and maintaining activity props and supplies in a neat and orderly manner.
  5. Keep an inventory of supplies associated with on-site guest activities and advise Director of Sales & Marketing when supplies need to be replenished.
  6. Responsible for enforcing safety rules and procedures to ensure safety of all guests participating in activities.
  7. Participate in weekly staff meetings, providing an update on marketing initiatives, in-house VIP's, weekly activity schedule, etc.
  8. Maintain an "in-lobby" guest information desk during predetermined hours with an objective of educating guests on excursions and special off-property attractions offering exclusive "deals" to hotel guests and assisting with reservations.
  9. Coordinate and conduct group site tours engaging other department managers as appropriate.
  10. Coordinate group arrivals/departures, prepayment, and in-house activities with department heads to ensure a smooth and positive group experience.

Physical Demands:  While performing the duties of this job, this individual is regularly required to stand; use hands and fingers, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.  The team member frequently is required to walk, and occasionally hike, or engage in other outdoor activities with guests.  The associate will also be involved in some pool activities, where he or she would need to know how to swim, or balance themselves in the pool.  The associate will regularly lift boxes of supplies weighing up to 50 pounds between locations and occasionally lift/move up or over 100 pounds with assistance.  Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth vision and ability to adjust and focus.
