Purpose for this Position:  Transport guests to and from assigned locations. 

Essential Responsibilities:

  1. Drive guests to and from area beaches and attractions, obeying all traffic rules and regulations constantly throughout shift to ensure a safe, accident-free trip.
  2. Assist guests with storing and retrieving their luggage from the van/bus.
  3. Follow pre-established routes, drop off and pick up sites, and schedules.
  4. Respond to guest questions, issues and problems regarding transportation, RV Resort services and local events, points of interest, and activities.
  5. Maintain accurate records of passenger movements.
  6. Ensure that safety and transportation rules are followed by all passengers.
  7. Maintain the bus/van in clean condition and perform gas refills as needs.
  8. Complete daily bus/van reports and report any malfunctions on a daily basis.
  9. Assist with other duties as assigned by the Manager on Duty.
  10. Perform daily vehicle safety inspections and complete Pre-Trip Inspection Form.

To do this kind of work, you must be able to:

  • Must have excellent driving record verified by Motor Vehicle Report.
  • Must possess a Commercial Driver's License with Passenger Endorsement.
  • Excellent vision required - correctable 20/20 for driving purposes.
  • Be able to drive all speed shifts of vehicles, vans, limousines, and automobiles.
  • Excellent hearing required to accommodate City Street and Expressway driving.
  • Comprehension and literacy required to read and interpret traffic and directional signage.
  • Be knowledgeable of RV Resort services and the local area events and activities.
  • Ability to converse with guests and fellow associates.
  • Be available on nights, weekends, and holidays.

Physical Demands:  Lifting 50 lbs. maximum with frequent lifting and/or carrying of objects weighing up to 25 lbs. Pushing/pulling cart up to 200 lbs.  Requires walking or standing to a significant degree, reaching, bending, handling, feeling, talking, hearing, seeing.

Environmental Conditions:  Both: Inside and outside: A job is considered "both" if the activities occur inside or outside in approximately equal amounts.

Noise and Vibration:  Sufficient noise, either constant or intermittent, to cause marked distraction or possible injury to the sense of hearing, and/or sufficient vibration (production of an oscillating movement or strain on the body or its extremities from repeated motion or shock) to cause bodily harm if endured day after day. 

Temperature Changes:  Variations in temperature due to seasonal changes which are sufficiently marked and abrupt to cause noticeable bodily reactions.
