Banquet Captain - Valley River Inn - Eugene, OR

The Banquet Captain is responsible for ensuring all arrangements are made to provide customers with a very high level of service and quality. The Banquet Captain will work with the Banquet Manager to schedule banquets, parties, etc. and ensure consistent and efficient service to all banquet guests. Essential Responsibilities: 1. Provide professional and courteous service at all times. 2. Ensure timely set-up of all function rooms. 3. Ensure that proper inventory levels are maintained to accommodate all events. 4. Maintain banquet and AV equipment as needed. 5. Requisition the required banquet help and provide instructions on work expectations for banquet and bar servers, well in advance of events. 6. Meet with Banquet Manager to determine last minute changes and discuss various set-up arrangements. 7. Ensure proper service to clients during the banquet. 8. Ensures proper cleaning of all equipment after function is completed. 9. Work with Banquet Manager to schedule banquets, parties, etc. 10. May assist personnel in setting up a function room to the desired specification set forth by the Catering/Sales Department.
