GroundsKeeper - Valley River Inn - Eugene, OR

: To perform a combination of tasks which maintain the campground interior and exterior premises in a clean and orderly manner, contributing to a pleasant and positive experience. Essential Responsibilities: 1. Provides professional and courteous service at all times. 2. Cleans and maintains all public areas, storage areas and guest outdoor areas. 3. Clean sites upon checkout and keep sites free from debris and trash. 4. Run supplies and service items to guests as instructed. 5. Cleans all fire rings upon department and before next arrival. 6. Reports any dangerous outdoor issues to supervisor or Manager on Duty if Supervisor is not available. 7. Collects all bags deposited in doggie waste disposal areas daily. 8. Refills doggie waste disposal stations as needed. 9. Empties trash in all common waste cans—checks all common area waste cans several times a day. 10. Removes bagged trash from guest sites as needed. 11. Cuts grass on sites and all common areas. 12. Weed and trim all areas. 13. Sprays for weeds on all common areas, in common gardens, and on all RV pads. 14. Waters and maintains all outdoor gardens. 15. Attend department meetings. 16. Completes projects as determined by the Maintenance Manager. 17. Keeps all swimming pools clean by scrubbing and vacuuming daily. 18. Rakes sea grass from beach daily and grooms bathing beach for guests. 20. Cleans debris from bar area each morning and rakes and grooms sand. 21. Waters all trims all tropical plants as needed. 22. Keeps all inflatable water amenities properly inflated. To do this kind of work, you must be able to: • Use hands to lift, carry, or pull objects that may be heavy. • Understand simple instructions. • Work outdoors in all kinds of weather. • Learn simple procedures and techniques. • Perform routine work or the same task over and over again. • Be available on nights, weekends and holidays. Physical Demands: Lifting 50 lbs. maximum with frequent lifting and/or carrying of objects weighing up to 25 lbs. Requires walking or standing to a significant degree, reaching, handling, feeling, talking, hearing, seeing. Environmental Conditions: Both: Inside and outside: A job is considered "both" if the activities occur inside or outside in approximately equal amounts approximately 75% or more of the time inside. Math Skills: Requires mathematical development sufficient to be able to: Compute ratio and proportion and percentages. Calculate surface, volumes, weight and measures. Language Skills: Must have developed language skills to the point to be able to: Read instructions, safety rules, etc. Speak with poise, voice control and confidence using correct English and wellmodulated voice.
